Deposition – Vapor Phase Aluminization (VPA/VOC/FIC)

For over 25 years, ECM Group has manufactured Vapor Phase Aluminization (vapor phase aluminide)/VPC and FIC furnaces – this equipment is mainly used for protective coating against high temperature oxidation and hot corrosion. Majority of industries using our VPA systems are aeronautic for turbine blade coatings and energy for gas turbine blades. The equipment can be manual, semi- or fully automated, depending on the need and requirements.

These furnace systems are AMS compliant and installed all around the world utilizing diameters from 700 mm to 1500 mm.

Serthel chemical vapor deposition treatment lines (VPA, VPC and industrial FIC) are either manual or fully automated to optimize cycles: 1 high temperature heating furnace, 2 mobile units for treatment under bell-cover, 1 cooling cell
SEMCO offers a range of compact, high performance software-controlled bench-top and standalone reduced-pressure, vacuum and thin film deposition tools for research and development on the synthesis of nano-materials with unique optical, electronic, or mechanical properties.

Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) is a process which allows the creation of a deposit on the surface of mechanical parts, to protect them from oxidation and corrosion. This protective coating is frequently used in aeronautics, especially on the reactors’ turbines blades which run at very high temperatures and in a very oxidizing atmosphere.

This process is usually realized at temperatures around 1000°C and 1150°C under neutral gas like Argon, and consists in creating a sealed enclosure on which mechanical parts are placed. They are either manually made or in a totally automated way to optimize cycles.
