ECM products incorporate peripheral equipment to provide a complete, one source, turn-key heat treating solution. This allows our customers to have their complete heat treat system working on one PLC based system, which includes: preheating, automation, heat treating (low pressure carburizing, carbonitriding, neutral hardening with oil or gas quenching) and tempering equipment. These installations are sourced and supported by our directly owned subsidiary here in North America.
From industrial and commercial to lab and R&D furnace applications, there is an ECM vacuum furnace that fits your heat treating needs. Contact us for custom projects or assistance in choosing the best furnace for your process. The below chart displays standard dimensions & weights, visit the individual furnace pages for more sizing and details.

There are significant differences between a conventional furnace and an LPC furnace. Low pressure carburizing carried out in vacuum furnaces with cold walls offers many advantages compared to traditional conventional atmospheric carburizing: no oxidation, better carburizing homogeneity, excellent reproducibility of the load to load processing, tightening of the metallurgical tolerances such as the carburizing depth, and finally, core hardness. The LPC process respects environmental standards as it significantly reduces overall CO2 emissions (No CO2 furnace emissions thanks to the absence of oxygen under vacuum) and harmful chemical products. In an ever-changing industry, becoming familiar with the newest technology will push your production to perform at its very best and meet your demands for increased productivity and higher quality parts.
If you are considering bringing your heat treating in house, we are here to help you every step of the way! It’s not just about saving cost, but improving efficiency as well. Below are a few substantial reasons that you should consider bringing your heat treat in house.
Since 1964, ECM Technologies has provided vacuum furnaces for the major buyers in the aeronautic, automotive, space and military industries. As we expand our product lines, we increase our versatility in the heat treat market - additive manufacturing, battery/energy storage, semiconductors, etc.
